IOWA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE REINSTATES GRAIN DEALER AND WAREHOUSE OPERATOR LICENSES OF ELMER WOOD CO., INC. IN MOULTON
DES MOINES – The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has reinstated the grain dealer and warehouse operator licenses for Elmer Wood Co., Inc., of Moulton, Iowa in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 203 and 203C.
Elmer Wood Co. had their grain dealer and warehouse operator license suspended on July 11, 2012. Since the suspension they have filed the required monthly financial statements and filed proof of the correction of the deficiencies in net worth and current asset to current liability ratio.
As a result of this action, the company’s grain dealer and warehouse operator license certificates have been reinstated and they are again authorized to purchase grain or accept grain for storage.
The revocation hearing set for August 30, 2012 has been cancelled.
The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship’s Grain Warehouse Bureau regulates and examines the financial solvency of grain dealers and grain warehouse operators. The functions of the Bureau include: warehouse licensing, warehouse examination, grain dealer licensing and grain dealer examinations.
