DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today announced that he will be visiting Jones, Cedar and Scott Counties on Friday, August 5 as part of his efforts to visit each of Iowa’s 99 counties again in 2011.
“These meetings are a great opportunity to listen to Iowans and learn more about what we need to be working on at the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship,” Northey said. “These meetings have proven to be very valuable for me and I am looking forward to hearing from area residents.”
Northey will be participating in a meeting at Citizens State Bank in Monticello and then will tour Elder Implement in Durant. Neither of these meetings are open to the public, but Northey will be available to the media following both meetings. Northey will then visit the Mississippi Valley Fair in Davenport.
