DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today announced that he will be visiting Jackson, Clinton, Louisa and Washington Counties on Wednesday, Feb. 9 and Thursday, Feb. 10 as part of his efforts to visit each of Iowa’s 99 counties again in 2011. Northey will speak at the KMAQ Farm and Home show in Maquoketa, host town meetings in Clinton and De Witt, and speak at a Syngenta Agronomic Summit in Riverside. All events are open to the public.
“These meetings are a great opportunity to listen to farmers and learn more about what we need to be working on at the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship,” Northey said. “I have learned a lot from these meetings over the past four years and am looking forward to continuing to get out and hear from rural residents.”
