A Test-Negative or JPL (Johne’s Program Level) herd has conducted herd testing according to Program standards. All test results must be negative and a herd will remain at any level for up to 14 months from their herd Program testing anniversary date. To continue or advance in status, the herd owner must reapply with a copy of negative Program testing results, an updated herd management plan, an agreement to follow Program standards and guidelines, and approval by the Designated Johne’s Coordinator. Level 4 (JPL4) is the highest Johne’s Test-Negative status.
NOTE: Herd status may change more quickly than this website can be updated. Always ask the producer about his herd testing history.
