This program was created in response to western states that restrict the importation of certain corn products from states such as Iowa, where are infested with the European corn borer. Entomology and Plant Science Bureau personnel inspect corn product processing facilities to assure that the equipment properly cleans the product, so it is free from the insect prior to shipment.
